The Group’s mode of sea transportation is a service they offer to their customers as an economically viable distribution for their goods. They operate a reliable network that consists of direct consolidation from all commercial centres, with gateways that offer more services and better control to North African ports and open multi-modal transport into Europe, taking full advantage of the Freeport operations. They also purchase freight space with first class carriers to ensure that their customer’s goods are handled in the most professional and effective matter and provide door-to-door service, as well as handle the customs clearance and all the logistics.
Their mode of land transportation was set up in 1978 as a limited company, Express Trailers Ltd which took advantage of the new Ro Ro services introduced from Italy and France to Malta. This created a revolution in the way freight business was handled and introduced new concepts and opportunities for the Maltese Industry to be able to compete in Europe. The company has strong commercial ties with local and foreign shipping companies which offer a reliable gateway into mainland Europe, along with 35 weekly destinations. Their transport services include, just in time, satellite tracking, dry goods, hazardous materials, reefer transport and hanging garments. The company owns and operates a fleet of around 170 trailers of various types: dry van & high cubed trailers, tilt trailers, curtain sided trailers, refrigerated trailers and hanging garment trailers. With over 3000 square meters of warehousing, their drivers are ADR certified to carry hazardous cargo and was the first Maltese freight forwarding company to obtain the ISO certification in February 1995. Earlier on this year, Express Trailers Ltd. has been appointed official partners of DHL ColdChain to service the pharmaceutical industry.
